Terms & Conditions

Welcome to the website of Red Deer Sleep and Health Psychology. By accessing or using this website (the "Site"), you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms, conditions, and notices (the "Terms"). Please read them carefully. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must immediately discontinue use of this Site.

1. No Client-Therapist Relationship or Medical Advice

The information, text, graphics, and materials contained on this Site are for educational, informational, and practice-marketing purposes only.

  • No Medical Advice: The content provided on this Site is not intended to be a substitute for professional medical diagnosis, advice, or physical treatment. Always seek the advice of your physician or another qualified healthcare provider regarding a medical condition.
  • Free Audio & Self-Care Resources: This Site may offer free, downloadable audio resources, including guided imagery and relaxation recordings. The utilization or downloading of these audio files is strictly for general wellness purposes and does not constitute a clinical line, clinical intervention, psychological treatment, or medical advice.
  • No Relationship Established: Accessing this Site, reviewing our service menus, filling out a contact form, downloading or listening to free audio resources, or requesting an initial consultation does not establish a clinical, psychological, or professional client-therapist relationship with Dr. Dyani Saxby or Dr. Skyler Shollenbarger at Red Deer Sleep and Health Psychology. A formal relationship is only established after completion of consent forms AND initial clinical evaluation is conducted.

2. Clinical Scope & Medical Prerequisites

Red Deer Sleep and Health Psychology offers specialized psychotherapy services:

  • Sleep Medicine Prerequisite: Our highly specialized sleep protocols require that clients have been formally evaluated and diagnosed by a board-certified sleep physician. We do not provide primary medical sleep diagnoses or diagnostic sleep studies. If you present with a sleep disorder (such as sleep apnea), our services are limited to behavioral aspects and your physical care must remain co-managed by your medical provider.
  • Clinical Stability Boundary: Our therapeutic approaches require a foundational level of psychological and physical stability. We are unable to provide crisis-management services for individuals who are currently medically or psychiatrically unstable, including those experiencing active psychosis, unmanaged substance dependency, active self-harm, or severe disorders requiring frequent out-of-session crisis behavioral checking.

3. Forensic & Litigation Exclusion Policy

Red Deer Sleep and Health Psychology is a strictly clinical practice focused entirely on physiological restoration, nervous system regulation, and behavioral medicine. To protect the integrity of the therapeutic container, we do not accept or treat new clients who are currently involved in, or plan to pursue, active legal litigation, personal injury lawsuits, worker’s compensation claims, or custody disputes. We do not perform forensic evaluations, write court documentations, or participate in legal proceedings. Becoming involved in litigation during the course of treatment may result in a referral out to a specialized forensic practitioner.

4. Jurisdictional Limitations (PSYPACT & NY)

Drs. Dyani Saxby and Skyler Shollenbarger are licensed psychologists in Tennessee with authorization through PSYPACT (Interjurisdictional Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology). Telehealth clinical services can only legally be provided to individuals who are physically located within a PSYPACT-participating state at the exact time of the session. Use of this Site from locations outside these authorized legal jurisdictions does not obligate the practice to provide clinical care.

5. Intellectual Property & Trademarks

All content on this Site—including text, layout designs, descriptions, branding concepts, and graphics—is the property of Red Deer Sleep and Health Psychology.

Third-party registered terms, including Somatic Experiencing®, are used under proper professional clinical credential allowances and remain the property of their respective trademark holders. You may not reproduce, copy, or distribute any site content for commercial use without express written permission.

6. External Links & Imagery Acknowledgement

This Site may contain links to external professional directories, payment processors, or professional associations. Red Deer Sleep and Health Psychology does not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for the privacy practices or content of third-party platforms. All stock photography used across our digital spaces is legally licensed through human-creativity databases (such as iStock by Getty Images) and strictly features non-AI-generated visual compositions to protect professional clinical authenticity.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Red Deer Sleep and Health Psychology, its owner, and its affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of, or inability to use, this Site or the educational materials provided herein.

8. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Your continued use of the Site following any updates constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
